Keith Loutit: Timelapse

"This film is 100% 'real', but there are some new techniques for me here, such as using time lapse to create the illusion of forward movement for the helicopter ocean scenes. These flight sequences would not be possible without the skill and patience of Chief Pilot Peter Yates. Thanks also to Trevor Cracknell (for getting wet!) and Family."

Incredible work, could watch for hours! See his complete collection here.

Asked & Answered | Levi Strauss & Co.

"It’s funny, you could always tell where someone was from; if they said “jeans,” then they were from the west, if they were from the East they called them “dungarees,”."

From an interview with Lynn Downey, the Levi Strauss & Co. archivist and historian (what a dream job).

for all you type junkies...

For all you type junkies now there is an app for you - I've been geeking out over this all morning!! The Typography Manual has several useful features and resources for designers, including a visual type anatomy glossary, a font size ruler, an em calculator, and enough content to fill a 60-page book. It has all the essentials of a desk reference in a regularly updated pocket resource. Nice work!!

Benjamin Hollingsworth

We went to Ben's opening last night at Aster Hall. I was taken aback by his work – his wild expressive strokes and layers of color and texture leave me wanting more!
